Sarah spent over 10 years as a professional competition groom, working in the top levels of eventing, showjumping, dressage and showing in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.
During time working in a variety of top-level yards, she realised the need for a time and cost-effective way for equestrian companies and yards to recruit and retain high-quality staff.
Equine Elite was taken over by sisters Sarah and Liz Newell in 2018 - both experienced equestrian professionals.

Point To Point Authority
The Point-to-Point Authority is the body responsible for the administration, promotion and development (governance and strategy) of Point-to-Point racing.
It is comprised of seven directors - one each from The Jockey Club, the Point-to-Point Owners and Riders Association (PPORA), the Point-to-Point Secretaries Association (PPSA), the Masters of Foxhounds Association (MFHA) and three independent members.
Functioning under delegated authority from the BHA, the PPA evolved from the Point-to-Point Board in order to ensure the sport's destiny was in the hands of its constituents with the resources to run its own affairs in an open and transparent way.
Working closely with the member organisations plus the BHA and HBLB, the PPA ensures its funding streams are fair and proportionate and that its services are provided in the most cost-effective way.
The PPA is run from offices near Swindon, providing a range of administrative services to Jockeys, Owners and Point-to-Point fixture Secretaries.
Pony Racing Authority
For a sport that has been formally in existence for less than a decade, Pony Racing has been remarkably successful in achieving what it set out to do.
As well as being an excellent grounding in riding technique and race day procedures, it encourages children who may never have even thought about shortening their stirrup leathers to turn their thoughts to race-riding, be it under the Rules of Racing or on the ever popular Point-to-Point circuit.
Perhaps as important as anything, it fuels the addiction and passion for racing which is so integral to the future success of the sport.
Essentially, the Pony Racing Authority is today reaching out beyond racing's normal parish to attract potential jockeys from less likely audiences.
