'Birdie', artist and cartoonist, quickly established himself at the heart of racing through his brilliant, timely and clever cartoons on all aspects of horse racing. Initially using social media as an outlet for his talent, he very quickly began to appear on all the racing channels drawing live and entertaining racegoers.
In the past few years Birdie has worked at venues such as the Cheltenham Festival, The Epsom Derby, The 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and The Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.
Birdie is now delighted to be able to offer his original artwork printed on a variety of products designed and printed in the UK by our team.
Charlie Langton is one of the most sought-after equine artists of our time. His commitment to the Classical principles of the old masters, underscored by a deep understanding of equine anatomy and a love for the horse, renders work not only painstakingly accurate, but astonishingly true to life.
Major portraits include Big Bucks, Highcleres Derby winner, Motivator and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner, Harbinger.
However, it is as a sculptor that Charlie is most celebrated. Major life-size and over life-size works include his tribute to Yeats at Ascot, the mare and foal for HM The Queens 90th birthday statue in Newmarket, Giants Causeway, Sadlers Wells, Galileo, Montjeu, Goldikova, Treve and Fastnet Rock as well as the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. He also collaborated with Asprey to design and create the silver Derby and Oaks trophies for the Epsom festival.
It is said the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man and horsemen the world over will confirm that the outside of a great horse is something very special indeed. It is this feeling that Charlie seeks to capture through his work.

Goldsmiths in the 80s gave me a good grounding with life drawing and design skills.
Met Godfrey Amy from Jersey in 2000 who became my equine mentor and I didn't look back! Was appointed Artist in Residence by Matthew Foxton-Duffy at Royal Windsor Racecourse 2012. Ian Renton, Regional Director of Cheltenham Racecourse, commissioned me to create art for the New Princess Royal Stand in 2016.
Horses suit my personality, allowing me to display movement which has become my hallmark. Allowing texture and paint to reveal the image, light against dark, creating a sense of drama.
